What We Believe

We believe the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives.

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. God exists as the Trinity, in three persons, yet one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God passionately desires relationship with us and towards this end continually invites us into a relationship of faith, friendship, learning, and service. God expressed himself in human form through His son Jesus Christ. Forgiveness of our sins and right relationship with God, are found only through Christ.

We believe sin separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives. In order to receive forgiveness we must repent of our sins, believe in Jesus Christ and submit to His will for our lives. God wants to restore and transform us so that we can live fruitful and effective lives. This restoration and transformation happens as a result of consistently applying God’s Word, belonging to a community of Christ followers, and living a Spirit-filled life.

The Holy Spirit was sent from God to live inside all who believe in Jesus Christ. He teaches, comforts and empowers us, giving each follower diverse gifts, fostering unity, interdependence, productivity, Christ-like character and love among Christians. The empowering and infilling of the Holy Spirit, the promise of the Father, is available for every Christian. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a special experience following salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service.

We believe God has individually equipped us and corporately gathered us as His living body so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives The Church has a three-fold purpose: worship God, evangelize the world, and equip the community of faith for ministry.

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised and will rule and reign on this earth. History will conclude as the wicked are judged and the righteous enter a new heaven and a new earth.
